Man Armed With a Firearm Threatening a Female In Milford, Maine, Has Been Arrested
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office received a report on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 8:45 a.m. from a female victim who went to the sheriff’s office reporting that a male suspect had threatened her.
The female victim reported to the Penobscot County sheriffs that a male suspect was armed with a firearm and had discharged it at a residence on Henderson Lane in Milford.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating the details of the report, and while they were they learned that the male suspect had left the residence while making additional threats. Law enforcement was quickly dispatched to the residence, and additional resources were provided to a nearby daycare and the school in Milford. Penobscot County Sheriff’s deputies remained at the locations while this incident was ongoing.
With information remaining fluid, law enforcement developed a perimeter with county, local, and Maine State Police.
Negotiators tried contacting the male suspect, and warrants for his arrest were prepared. As law enforcement was waiting for additional resources to arrive on the scene, dispatch received information that the male suspect might be walking on County Road in Milford. Sheriff’s Deputies quickly responded to County Road and took the man into custody without incident. The man was unarmed at the time of his arrest.
There is no danger to the public, and several resources are remaining in the area to conduct a follow-up investigation.
The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office says, when appropriate, the male suspect’s name and additional information will be released.
The Old Town Police Department and the Maine State Police assisted the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
